At the Detroit Metro Airport, a federal agent’s handling of a bomb-sniffing dog is currently under investigation after a video posted to social media went viral showing what appears to be rough handling of the dog.
The video was shared on Sunday on Reddit by ProfessionalEye3568 and was quickly picked up and shared on other social media platforms. The dog works with the TSA explosive detection team.
According to the Detroit News, the agency said in a prepared statement:
The behavior displayed by this handler is unacceptable and not within the high standards we hold our officers to.

The agency said it shared the video with its local office in Detroit, and the handler would not be working with any dogs until the investigation was completed.
The video, which was done by a Reddit user at the Delta Sky Cub, showed the handler and the dog walking back and forth through the airport terminal while the handler aggressively pulled and dragged the dog during some of the laps in the McNamara Terminal.
