Near the Bryan County and Effingham County borders, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the person(s) who abandoned a dog. The dog was undernourished; his ribs visible and had patches of fur missing.
According to the sheriff’s office Facebook, which included several photos from a trail camera of a black Jeep SUV authorities want to find, it is believed the occupants in the vehicle were the ones who abandoned the dog.
Social media readers were very disturbed after viewing the photos of the obviously neglected and starving dog, calling out whoever abandoned the canine as “sick, sad and ridiculous.”
