Once a joyful reunion as shelter dog reunited with her owner now leaves dog ‘red listed’ again

Admin

Just two months ago, Karma and her owner were reunited. The photos posted on social media garnered hundreds of positive comments and heart emojis. It was more than obvious that everyone was pleased to see such a heartwarming reunion between the two.

Sadly, the happiness between Karma’s owner and the dog was short-lived. Not long after the reunion, the dog’s owner was arrested, and you all know where Karma ended up? Yes, she went back to the Los Angeles Animal Services where the shelter put her on a 30 day hold, awaiting her owner to return to reclaim her.

Karma waited and waited and waited.

Karma’s owner has been contacted multiple times, however the shelter has had no luck. And as kill shelters commonly do nowadays because of the serious overcrowding, Karma has been “red listed”, and her last day to live and breathe has been scheduled for May 30, 2024.

Rescuers are reaching out to everyone to help Karma. Check out one of her videos here:

This is what we know about Karma. KARMA #A1993333 is Red Listed only for space (can’t share a kennel) and needs out by end of day 5/29, or she will be killed. She is four-years-old and has all good notes from the staff. She loves to play and knows basic commands. Karma is very gentle when accepting treats.

Karma needs to be the ONLY dog in the home.

She looks well-cared for; perhaps just a little overweight. If there was not a space issue, she would not be in danger. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.

Rescuers hope everyone remembers the joy we all felt when we saw how joyful KARMA was. Please Share this plea so KARMA can feel joy, again, and not lose her innocent life.
