Just because Fred is nine-years-old, surely that is no reason for this German shepherd to be euthanized at the Riverside Animal Shelter in California. Sadly, he was dumped at the shelter by his owner, and the shelters are overcrowded. What chance does a senior dog even have?
Fred’s medical notes indicate he suffers from dental tartar and gum disease. Additionally, although he is listed as very friendly, he is not doing well in the shelter. He would do best with an approved rescue organization that can properly assess and address his physical needs.
Friendly social senior dumped at the shelter! younger dogs aren’t making it out of the shelter – older ones fare worse…they should be comfortable on a soft pillow…
