In Houston, Texas, a stray dog desperately tried to capture the attention of diners in a restaurant last week begging for help. The severe thunderstorms caused local flooding, severe lightning and an all about scary environment for a dog with no home or maybe no hope?
Volunteers from the area arrived and were able to get her to temporary safety. It is likely she had been used for breeding and then dumped. The poor dog had no idea where she was or even what was happening, but rescuers stepped up to offer the temporary care, asking rescue organizations or approved foster homes to step forward and help.
And now one week later, this very friendly dog, dubbed Moon, still has no place to go. When her photo went viral on social media sitting out in the rain on the other side of the restaurant door, hundreds of comments insisted she be rescued. Volunteers rushed to her aid:
Remember this Sweet girl?
EVERYONE DEMANDED SHE BE SAVED BUT ONCE SHE WAS PICKED UP EVERYONE GHOSTED. HER NAME IS NOW MOON. SHE’S BEEN VETTED. SHE’S HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, AND DOG-FRIENDLY. SHE NEEDS TO BE SPAYED! SHE NEEDS A SPONSOR. SHE DESPERATELY NEEDS A LOCAL FOSTER ASAP OR SHE’S SHELTER BOUND. HER FINDER CAN NO LONGER HOLD HER.
Toni
Moon needs a foster, a rescue or better yet – an adopter, but first she must be spayed. A sponsor has already pledged to pay for her to be spayed which can be scheduled quickly. She can be transported within seven to 10 days after having been spayed. She will need a local foster for three to four weeks.
If interested in helping, please reach out to Toni here. Please share Moon’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. We don’t want sent to the shelter.
