Six month old German shepherd puppy has no adoption offers in crowded California shelter

Admin

Adorable, but so very lonely and confused, a six-month-old puppy stares out of her kennel enclosure watching people walk by and wondering why no one stops to take her home. The staff at the City of San Bernardino Animal Services have named her Kendall, and since July 31, 2023, this sweetheart has been waiting for her turn to take the “happy walk” out of the shelter’s front door into her new family’s waiting arms.

There have not been medical notes as to Kendall’s overall physical condition released, however her intake information lists her as “poor.”

Pet Harbor Adoption:

KENDALL – ID#A557904

My name is Kendall and I am an unaltered female, brown and black German Shepherd Dog mix. Shelter staff think I am about 5 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 31, 2023.

For more information about the adoption process, click here: Animal Control. Note that the last adoption will start at 4:30 pm. For more information about this animal, call San Bernardino City Animal Control at (909) 384-1304. Ask for information about animal ID number A557904.

Please note that even puppies and perfectly healthy dogs are being euthanized because shelters are so overcrowded. Why was such a beautiful puppy roaming the streets? Did she run away by accident?

Please share this puppy’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Maybe her family is looking for her? Sharing saves lives.
