In Ellenwood, Georgia, Jax had been scheduled to be euthanized in the morning. He stared at the front door watching and waiting; was it for his previous family or did he just want to go outdoors and take in the sounds and smells of a beautiful afternoon?
This little guy stretched as tall and as far as he could just to stare outside and wish for someone to rescue him. Everyone’s heart broke.
Tragically, today may have been his last day. He would have been spending the afternoon and night in his concrete shelter cage and was just one of the many dogs scheduled to die at Clayton County Animal Control on Wednesday morning.
Just updated! Indeed, Jax’s chances were minimal, but sharing and more sharing enabled another miracle. A life was saved! Please, our work is not over.
