Two Good Samaritans in St. Louis spotted a “poor PINK baby” being abandoned by a man on Saturday. The heartless human just unleashed the dog at the park and left. The dog, rolled and scratched herself; she was being eaten away by fleas, and it seemed she would have done anything to escape from her own skin.
It wasn’t long before volunteers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis arrived and brought her back to the rescue organization where she was given a Capstar to kill the fleas. They named her
Pepto and just how raw and pink her skin is. She is highlighter pink! She’s LOVING her bath – Relief, at last!! This sweet baby is going to be just fine.
Here she is when she arrived at SRSL:

Pepto has since been receiving medicated baths and is feeling much better. Finally, she is feeling relief, and her bright pink skin is beginning to tone down. Everyone is looking forward to Pepto’s coat growing back and then realizing how simply beautiful she will soon be.
Now Pepto needs a foster home. If you’re interested in helping this sweetheart, please apply at Strayrescue.org/foster. The rescue is overFULL and sure could use help.
