At the Benton Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington, a four-year-old Great Dane named Moose has broken our hearts. A viral video posted on TikTok by one of the shelter’s volunteers, Julie Saraceno, compared Moose when he arrived at the shelter on his first day and then his 401 day at the same shelter. The difference is just heartbreaking.
Check it out:
According to Julie, Moose still puts his best paw forward when she visits him, but as she readies to leave for the day, she can see the sadness and disappointment in the 97-pound dog’s face. It would seem size doesn’t matter when a dog’s feelings are involved.
The video has already garnered one million views, and the comments are truly heartbreaking as readers beg someone to adopt this sweet boy.
As of today – Sunday afternoon, Moose is still at the shelter. People have since sent him lots of toys which helps to keep him busy, but please don’t stop sharing this boy’s plight and help him find the perfect home.
Meet Moose(formally known as Cane)!
He is a 3-year-old Great Dane…
Don’t let his size fool you he is a gentle giant, the best snuggler, and very loyal to his people. He loves to run, jump, and play fetch with staff. He is food motivated and content just to have someone to hang out with.
He would do well in a low traffic home where he can decompress after spending so long in the shelter environment. He can do well in a home with small/medium dogs who are ready to play with the big guys.
