At Stray Rescue of St. Louis, a plea went out on Wednesday morning for help after a heartbreaking photo of a dog in desperate need broke hearts. It had been a Good Samaritan who made the call to the non profit organization hoping someone could help.
She had been living on the streets, and life has been just so hard. Fortunately, help arrived and the pup now dubbed Jessie was on her way for much needed life-saving veterinary help.
Check out the video from Jesse’s freedom ride to the emergency veterinarian facility where she will be receiving 24/7 care:
Jesse was not able to walk and was carried into the hospital Staff and volunteers could smell the infection in the car, and her wounds were not fresh. She was extremely swollen; her eye very infected, her head with a deep wound and her tongue just hanging out of her mouth.
we’re not sure if it’s from a dog fight or what, but what we do know is that these wonderful people are getting her on pain meds, anti-nausea meds and antibiotics so she is no longer in pain. They’re going to sedate her soon to get a better look at what’s going on.
