How sad to imagine a very playful and friendly puppy growing up alone in a kennel at an overcrowded shelter in Ohio. Lester is only seven-months-old, weighs 34 pounds and is so depressed and sad lying in his shelter cage. He hasn’t had any applications nor any interest from anyone wanting to adopt him. How can that be? He is described as sweet, appears to be dog friendly and is absolutely adorable.

On Monday, volunteers from the Voices of the Trumbull Pound Dogs met Lester. Taylor and Rob described him as an “angel baby” and had been greeted by this sweet pup in Crate #1 with his head between the openings staring. Of course, our big hearted volunteers couldn’t resist, and Lester was the first to go out for a walk.
Lester is only about 7 months old and is on the smaller side at about 35lbs. He is just full of love to give. When I was putting his leash on, he rested both of his paws on my arm. He did not want me going anywhere without him.

Lester was a dream to walk and wanted to play so badly with his neighbor Lady, but she had just been spayed and still needed to rest. That being said, he doesn’t seem to mind other dogs at all, but a meet and greet is always required.
Come meet this sweet boy! The pound is no place for a puppy to be growing up! Please complete your application today.
