Perhaps you’re familiar with miniature dachshunds, also known as wiener or sausage dogs, and these playful and spirited little dogs have historically loved to dig their way into badger dens and scare them out. Obviously, they love to dig and explore the underground challenges, and a recent social media post on TikTok garnered more than 12 million views when one mini dachshund in the United Kingdom disappeared underground chasing rabbits.
Now here’s the story of one miracle pooch who had been missing for two days, and there was no way his owner was going to give up on finding him. Somehow the dog managed to stay alive – no food or water available, and the rescue was videoed as we saw his owner digging into the ground to find his beloved pooch.

And it you watched the videos, the dog sure seemed pleased to have seen the light as the men dug more and quickly exited that bothersome trap wagging his tail in pure happiness.
Now that’s a happy story, and as the TikTok creator added – “Never give up on your pets.”
