In Fort Wayne, Indiana, a woman who had been missing her dog for two years got the surprise of her life and a loving reunion beyond what anyone could imagine.
According to WnduNews, two years ago, Samantha Powers had been on vacation when she asked a friend to take care of her pup, Loki. Somehow Loki ran out of the house, and Powers was heartbroken. No one could find him. Although she searched everywhere, there were no signs of Loki; she was heartbroken and never thought she would ever see him again.
Last Friday, Samantha received a call from Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control; they had found Loki! Samantha was so excited. No one knows where Loki has been for the past two years, but he was found as a stray on a nearby street in terrible condition.
It was the dog’s MICROCHIP that enabled Loki to be reunited with Samantha!
Loki is adjusting to being back home and his health is improving. No doubt Loki is sure glad to have been reunited with his favorite human. The photos are the proof. He seems to have done a few four legged leap into his mom’s arms.
May we vigorously remind everyone to get their pets microchipped? The chip is no larger than a kernel of rice, does not hurt when injected and just read Loki’s story and his reunion. This would NOT have happened had Loki not had a chip.
