Emerson has been trying his best and placing his best paw forward eliciting attention from potential adopters as they walk by at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter. This very friendly two-year-old male Labrador retriever and bully mix gets along great with people and other dogs.
This is what we know about Emerson.
Staff members say he looks like a “baby cow.” He is only two years of age, weighs 60.4 pounds and has a skin condition which may be allergy related.(scrapes for mites negative) He arrived at the shelter on March 7th as a stray. He is easy to leash from the kennel, lots of tail wags, open mouthed and easily solicits attention from handlers and other dogs.
Emerson had bonded with his kennel mate who has since been adopted; the two would be frequently cuddled together napping. No doubt, Emerson is missing his best friend.
On May 29th, notes on Emerson from a staff member saw the dog “pacing” in a kennel. “NOT soliciting attention” with his “tail flagged” which has been surmised to mean that Emerson is kennel stressed.
now emerson is left to be killed, a total tail wagging affectionate love bug doll. good with other dogs.
