If you’re thinking an “adorable jailbreak” is an oxymoron, please let me explain. Bugsy’s escape was seen on camera, and agents immediately rushed to the scene and made sure the perky pup was returned to her shelter enclosure.
So, it was the late afternoon on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 when a mechanical failure occurred at the Niagara SPCA. A canine escape had been the result but was captured on security video. Of course, any number of mishaps could have arisen, but none did, so along with a careful review to make sure all mechanical errors have been repaired, let’s look at the unintended cuteness factor.
It was friendly Bugsy who figured out how her enclosure had not been firmly clipped shut. And just again, as a reminder, agents immediately spotted the break out and were right there to make sure she was safely returned and no other dogs were adversely affected.
But, and please share this clever girl’s short but tail wagging fun adventure with everyone to give Bugsy more exposure for the funny things a dog can do, and it is excitedly hoped, help her to find a loving home.
So, let’s all just appreciate this adorable jailbreak. Bugsy in disbelief of her new found freedom and testing the waters. Her trying to get Kane to play with her from inside his kennel, her excitement when she sees agents and her immediate obedience when Officer Bondi tells her to go back to her kennel. Bugsy doesn’t want any trouble with the Kitten Cop.
Bugsy is so much fun and soooo good! Someone get in here and jailbreak her forever! Bugsy is six years old, people and dog friendly, adorably snorty and pure happiness and joy. Please, no cats for this girl though.

Bugsy’s adoption is sponsored in loving memory of Carol Kwitowski.
