Meet Mistletoe – we know an over the top adorable name for an over the top adorable puppy, but this two-month-old wiggly tail golden retriever mix needs a home.
Who can imagine anyone abandoning her at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina; so young and defenseless, but so forgiving with a “heart of gold and a tail that can’t stop wagging.”
And despite her rough start, Mistletoe still loves to be with humans and relishes all the affection she has been receiving by the staff and volunteers. The rescue organization describes her this way:
Despite being abandoned on our property, Mistletoe has shown remarkable resilience. Her past doesn’t define her; instead, it has shaped her into a pup who cherishes every bit of love she receives. With a nature as sweet as her name suggests, Mistletoe is everything you could want in a puppy. She’s full of energy, loves to play, and her endearing puppy eyes can melt the coldest of hearts. Her playful wiggles and excited barks are sure to fill your home with laughter and happiness.
Mistletoe will be receiving all of her vaccinations when age appropriate; meaning she still needs to stay away from public grounds and parks. Not to worry, however – if you’re inclined to meet this adorable princess of a puppy, you will quickly see she is just as happy to play indoors and jump, cuddle and run all around.
What could be a better Christmas present than giving the gift of a home to a deserving puppy? And that goes for any special holiday; we know lovers of puppies, adult dogs and seniors come from all walks of life. We welcome the compassion and all of the help.
