Bonded German shepherds lost their elderly owner and have limited time for rescue

Admin

In the Troutdale, Oregon area, two bonded German shepherds lost their dad just two days ago. According to a rescue advocate, the 80-year-old owner had been in bad health and had not made any arrangements for his younger dogs should anything happen to him. Additionally, as much as he loved the dogs, he was also not able to provide them with the training and general discipline they needed.

Three-year-old Bella had been very attached to her owner, and after her dad passed, she would not allow anyone to go near him. She barked aggressively, prompting the family and emergency workers to call Animal Control. As soon as the officers arrived, however Bella followed them outdoors and jumped into the truck without a problem.

At this time the dogs are being kept safe at the Multnomah County Animal Shelter; the family has been granted a week to find the dogs a home. Two days have passed so far, and there are only five days left for the dogs to find a home. The family is hoping to keep the dogs together since they are so tightly bonded.

Poor bella was just afraid; she was reacting to a situation. Emily is 6 years old. She is in good health.
