A Heartbreaking Discovery on Facebook
Caryn, a dedicated rescuer with the Humane Society of Mason County (HSMC), stumbled upon a distressing Facebook post about a group of dogs confined to an abandoned property. Knowing she had to act, Caryn visited the property herself after noticing the authorities had not yet arrived. The scene she encountered was heartbreaking, with dogs living in squalid conditions.
Rescuing Six Dogs from Squalor
The dogs were found in a dilapidated, muddy backyard littered with trash and hazardous items. There were six dogs in total, including a bonded pair named Hank and Scooby. As time passed, Tucker and Ringo found permanent homes. However, Scooby and Hank, due to their traumatic past, remained timid and struggled to trust humans. He is described as incredibly polite when playing with his older canine sister (who has arthritis) and enjoys running around the yard with younger playmates.
