Poor Charlie; this eight-year-old stray pup is so sweet and was found as a stray on January 18, and instead of giving him time to meet the perfect adopter at the City of San Antonio Animal Services, he is scheduled to die on Monday at noon. Sweet Charlie is so depressed in his kennel, but when someone visits him, he perks right up and comes out of his shell.

Charlie walks well on a leash and truly enjoys being petted and loved. He is calm and sweet who just wants to find a family and home of his own.

Here is what the shelter staff tell us about Charlie:

it has been pretty cold these past few days, and there’s no better way to beat the cold that with charlie. Much like a heated and weighted blanket, charlies will rest on your lap providing you with warmth and comfort. And even better than a blanket, this guy will play with you all day too! If you’ve been suffering from this winter’s freeze, then take in Charlie and warm up your body and your heart.
