A Terrified Soul

Luna, a one-year-old American Staffy mix, found herself in a shelter after being abandoned by her former owners. The unfamiliar environment and loud noises overwhelmed her, causing her to retreat into her shell.

The only familiar object Luna had was her Teddy bear toy, which she clung to for comfort. The toy served as a reminder of her previous life and provided her with a sense of security.

Finding a Safe Haven

San Antonio Animal Care Services (SAACS) took in Luna. Despite her initial fear and anxiety, Luna’s true personality began to emerge. She was a playful, energetic, and loving dog.

A Search for a Forever Home

Thanks to public interest and inquiries, Luna was spared from euthanasia. Vermont English Bulldog Rescue offered to relocate her to their facility, providing a quieter and less crowded environment.

Luna’s ideal family would be patient, understanding, and willing to help her overcome her insecurities. With the right support, Luna could blossom into her true self.

SAACS staff expressed hope that Luna would soon find a loving home. They believed that with the right family, she would thrive and rediscover her joy for life.
