Rescuing the abandoned, beaten, bred, injured and betrayed is the admired culture of Stray Rescue of St. Louis. The moment these special animals arrive at the organization’s shelter, one of the devoted rescuers look deep into their eyes and promises them a new life; one filled with health, safety and love regardless of the time or the cost needed to achieve the goal.
Since 1998, Stray Rescue has seen numerous cases of animal cruelty, but this poor pup’s heartbreaking situation was one of the worst. She arrived at the rescue with one huge, swollen paw, and the crate where she could not escape, had been full of firecrackers.
The sadness and rage that fills us in times like this is overpowering. There were no cameras where she was found. She is safe with us now, and she’s beyond sweet. No harm will ever come to you again.
