At the City of San Bernardino Animal Services, a friendly one-year-old German shepherd named Sarge was returned to the shelter by his adopters on Monday; less than three weeks after he was adopted because he had been digging holes in the back yard. Had his new family left him outside by himself? Was he bored or hasn’t he learned proper doggy etiquette yet; after all, Sarge is barely a year old.
Returned 3 weeks after being adopted (with another dog, who they had the audacity to bring with them when returning him to the shelter. They handed him over to staff, and walked out with the other dog.

And now Sarge is back at an overcrowded shelter. He was led into the shelter by his current owner -Sarge happily wagging his tail having no idea what was to be his sad fate arriving and remaining at the shelter again.
Check out Sarge’s video as he is returned to the shelter. Watch to the end.

“After weeks in the shelter, Sarge was adopted (at the shelter’s FREE ADOPTION EVENT) and had his very own family. He LOVES them. He LOVES everyone and everything. He LOVES to be loved, but because he ‘digs in the yard’, the family he thought would love him back decided he needs to return to the shelter at City of San Bernardino Animal Services and his sweet tender heart is shattered. He doesn’t know why they didn’t love him enough to keep him. He doesn’t even know what he did wrong! DID YOU HEAR THE FEMALE AT THE END….’WE’RE GOING TO ADOPT A LITTLE DOG.’”
