At the Daviess County Animal Shelter in Owensboro, Kentucky, animal advocates are fighting to save Apollo’s life. The eight-year-old German shepherd was surrendered to the shelter by his owner because the dog had been struggling to walk.
“…We are not certain what is wrong, his previous owner could not take him to a vet and surrendered him in hopes to find him help. The shelter has him on pain meds which is helping but he needs x-rays and most likely surgery. He is loyal and kind-hearted and he is Heartworm negative. Please help us find a rescue who can help him. He doesn’t have long, he can not stay at the shelter in this condition – it’s not fair to him to suffer without proper medical help. Please contact Daviess County Animal Control in Owensboro KY at [email protected] if you can help him.”
