A young dog believed to have been stolen during a smash and grab in Castro Valley had reportedly been found dead near the freeway late last week. According to authorities however, the dog believed to have been Rocky was misidentified and actually might still be alive.
The year-and-a-half brown and white Shih Tzu named “Rocky” had been taken during the robbery on Friday night in a parking lot located at 580 Marketplace Shopping Center located on East Castro Valley Boulevard in Castro Valley.
According to CbsNews, the search for Rocky continues. A report of a dog identical to Rocky stated the dog was seen hanging out of the window of a green Camry. People are asked to keep an eye out for the little guy so he can be returned to his family.
