Heartless culprit tied cat in pillowcase and threw her onto the side of the road

Admin

Although it is unlikely the culprit who tied a friendly cat up in a pillowcase and apparently threw her out onto the side of a road will ever be apprehended, the Niagara SPCA is hoping the cat looks familiar to someone and might recognize her or her owner.

We doubt this will be fruitful, but we have to try anyway. Does this sweet girl look familiar to anyone? She is dark grey/blue in color and long haired.

The cat had been tossed on the side of the road tied up in a pillowcase near the curve at Bond Lake on Wednesday in the pouring rain. Thankfully, the Good Samaritan, Sara, had been driving by when she saw the bag moving and stopped to investigate. She untied the pillowcase, and the cat ran out and immediately climbed into the engine of her car.

SPCA Agent Rinehart and Officer Stefanski received the call from the Niagara County Sheriff Dept and quickly arrived to render assistance. Agents were able to remove kitty from the car, and deliver her safely to the shelter.

Aside from being soaking wet and a little scared, she seems no worse for the wear, and she may have a wonderful adopter in her finder.

To the person who did this- we’ll reserve comment because it won’t be suitable for public consumption.
