Meet Eeyore. At Stray Rescue St. Louis, the young dog who has had the worst life that can be endured, is safe; he has already captured the hearts of his rescuers.
“He’s bleeding and has open wounds, and suffers from an extreme case of mange. As if his life hasn’t been horrible enough, he also just tested positive for the deadly infection canine parvovirus (parvo),” the rescue group posted on their Facebook page above the photos of the dog now named Eeyore.
And as is so prevalent with dogs rescued from the worst conditions and the worst places, these kind souls rarely blame anyone.
“When you touch him, he just melts. All he wants is love and to be touched. ..Those sad eyes are too much to bear.”
Eeyore is currently being treated with medication and is drinking and eating – both good signs he is fighting for his life.
