Navy officers rescue exhausted dog from sea

Admin

In the Bay of Talcahuano, in the Chilean region of Biobio, sailors from the Chilean Navy spotted a dog paddling for his life in the ocean after a turbulent storm. The dog desperately tried to stay afloat as his rescuers quickly approached and pulled him to safety.

According to the DailyStar, the dog was too exhausted to even move as one officer leaned over the boat to pull him aboard. Once in the boat, the men bathed the dog in warm water and wrapped him in a blanket to prevent him from suffering hypothermia.

No one knows how the dog ended up in the bay, although it is possible he had been swept out into the sea after the recent heavy storms. Whatever the reason, hearts grew fonder as the men who rescued the adorable pooch were willing and able to adopt him – seems the dog just melted everyone’s heart on that navy ship.

UPDATE: The good news – Canopus has officially been adopted. Check out the video: (Check out his sailor’s uniform)
