Injured puppy dumped in parking lot walked up to people whimpering for help until someone finally listened

Admin

In Troy, Alabama, an abandoned puppy limped over to so many cars and whimpered; trying her best to get people in the parking lot of a gas station on busy Highway 167. to help her. Sadly, no one seemed to care, and everyone just walked on by.

Fortunately, a concerned citizen spotted the puppy late last week and notified the Troy Animal Rescue Project for assistance. The rescue staff was told the heartbreaking story of the young puppy approaching people one by one and crying, but car after car just passed her by.

The rescue organization immediately went to her, and as one of the volunteers scooped her up into her arms, the puppy just breathed a sigh of relief, kissed her rescuer’s face and quietly but happily whimpered. When the two got into the truck, the hot, dehydrated and exhausted pup just curled up – as if the weight of the world had finally been taken off her shoulders.

She put no pressure on her leg as she was visibly in pain.

But she only offered love, then she napped peacefully on the ride. Our volunteers named her Nutmeg and she is safe. With your help, she will get the proper treatment and be adopted into a home where she will be loved – which is all she wanted…..
