In Jefferson County, Colorado, deputies went far and beyond their everyday duties of helping citizens on Friday – that is if a family of bear cubs aren’t considered adorable and worthy of human interaction and rescue if needed.
Earlier in the week, a concerned citizen called the Jefferson County deputies who said three little bear cubs were trapped in a commercial dumpster and their mom, who was so concerned and worried, had no intention of letting anyone near her precious, crying babies.
So what is a deputy to do? Of course, they distracted mom and were ultimately able to flip the dumpster over. Two of the three babies crawled out, but the third – nicknamed “Sweet Pea” needed a little more assurance and confidence to get to safety.
