Tiny three-legged puppy ‘Chicken’ needs special home

A tiny three-legged puppy dubbed “Chicken” arrived at the Nassau County Animal Services on Tuesday after a good Samaritan found him under a house in Nassau County. Rescuers think the two-pound pup is three-months-old and was born with a partially developed front leg.

 

 

A perfect home for this little guy will be with adults or with children who are mature enough to understand Chicken is a fragile puppy who will need a lot of care.

Applications are subject NCAS approval and an onsite pet visit at the shelter is required. If NCAS receives more than one adoption application for the same pet, they will place the pet in the home that is best suited for that pet. Nassau County Animal Services is showing pets by appointment, please call the shelter for details.
