Scared and abandoned Mastiff’s life hangs in jeopardy at shelter

Admin

A scared Mastiff arrived at the Riverside County Animal Control in California last week after having been brought in last week. The five-year-old brindle beauty is not doing well; she looks to be injured or sick. When she first arrived, she was “fearful and unsocial” and was not doing well in the kennel environment.

Fortunately the dog has become more relaxed, but isn’t doing well in the shelter. Her behavioral evaluation is described as follows:

A1595018: “Dog displays timid behavior not wanting to seek attention from handler. This dog was leashed and was able to walk to the assessment yard. Upon seeing helper dog this dog did not change body posture. Dog remained with neutral ears, open mouth, loose body, and tail wagging. Dog did not solicit attention from helper dog or handler during assessment. Dog appears to be dog tolerant.”

Liberty was due out of the shelter on 8/29/20.Liberty – #A1595018
