Update: Dog left in 100 degree heat to fend for himself clinging to life

Admin

For two weeks, Buddy suffered in the backyard of his home; no one cared no one bothered to check on him. And in a rural Texas neighborhood, mercilessly Buddy was left to fend for himself after having been attacked by another dog.

Buddy had been left in the 100 degree heat with no food or water; Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were notified, and without hesitation, the organization responded. Buddy was rushed to an emergency veterinarian hospital for life saving care.

On Friday evening, Buddy was moved to a specialty hospital in San Antonio for advanced care.

“Buddy has some type of fungal infection in his lungs causing him to have labored breathing or he may have cancer throughout his body. Nevertheless, he wasn’t getting the special medical care he needs,” the rescue organization posted on their Facebook page.

He’s still in an emergency hospital in an oxygen tank, costing thousands of $$$ on top of the $2500 already spent at the ER in McAllen, Texas…

Buddy will easily be a $5000 to $7000 case, one that we cannot afford at this time.”
