Puppy with spina bifida adoption offers go viral after he was stood up by adopter

In West Chester Township, Ohio, a nine-month-old puppy with spina bifida has had more than 200 adoption offers after his photo went viral on Monday. The Peaches Bully Rescue had transported the American bulldog puppy named Jack, 40 minutes away to meet a potential adopter who never showed up or even bothered to call.

“Jack was very sad when his meet and greet person was a no show, no call. He had a bath, got his fancy harness on, had a fresh diaper, and a dedicated foster team that drove 40 mins each way just to end in huge disappointment,” the rescue organization posted on their Facebook page.

Jack came to the rescue when he needed emergency care and multiple surgeries for his urethra. He now require diapers, and his condition will be permanent.

An update on Tuesday brought smiles to thousands of supporters and animal advocates. There sure are a lot of compassionate people willing to go the extra mile to provide a loving home and all the special care Jack will need.

Many packages and financial donations have arrived for him and our other dogs. Who knew that our little Jack Jack would be so widely loved and we could be so blessed.”
