Jonas has been waiting since February for a new family to come to the San Bernardino County Animal Shelter to adopt him. Can you tell someone Jonas is here and wants to go home?
This beautiful two-year-old German shepherd arrived at the shelter as a stray a month ago. He has been kenneled with other dogs and has done fine.

My name is Jonas and I am an unaltered male, black and brown German Shepherd Dog. Shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old. I have been at the shelter since Feb 13, 2024.
This is what volunteers had to say about Jonas:
This dog arrived on 2/13/24 at City of San Bernardino Animal Control-Shelter emaciated. He’s been there a month now and has put on weight. He’s super sweet and loved visitors. He’d love one of those visitors to take him HOME

Follow Jonas’ plight on Facebook here. Scroll down on the page to view two short video clips of this dog. Please share his story with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. The shelter is extremely overcrowded, and all dogs who have been there for more than the required time are at risk of being euthanized.
