A dog discovered curled up in the snow in the two degree Texas snow storm last week, has been rescued from the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control. And even though the shelter had been bustling with clanking metal bowls, loud barking from scared shelter dogs and strangers walking by his shelter cage, this little guy slept soundly.
Nemo weighs 38 pounds, is underweight and heartworm negative. A shelter volunteer wrote:
“It’s so loud at the shelter today and found this boy curled up sound asleep. He is lucky to be alive and seems very thankful to just have a warm place to sleep. He is skinny and overall in poor condition. He hasn’t had his behavior test or dog test yet. I don’t want him to just continue to sit here though.”
