One last chance to save shy Shady: Dog’s final adoption hold almost over

Admin

At the Wichita Animal Shelter in Kansas, a timid dog’s life is in grave danger of ending. Shady is terrified in the shelter, and when  the assessors took her out of her kennel cage to be evaluated, she trembled in fear and tried to hide in the corner.

As to Shady’s past, it was reported she had been found as a stray, and the person who found her took her home. On the second day Shady was in her new home, she had been standing over the Chihuahua, and as the person moved in between the dogs to separate them, Shady bit the woman in the thigh. Maybe the woman scared her? Maybe the woman moved too quickly? The result – however – Shady was brought to the shelter.

For ten days Shady remained on a bite/stray hold. She is spayed and micro-chipped, however the chip was never registered; no one ever came to the shelter to save her.

“Sadly she ran out of time and was scheduled for a walk to the euth room when we placed a temp 911 tag for a few more days to network,” Beauties and Beasts, Inc. posted on their Facebook page as they network to help Shady find an adopter or foster home. “Without placement with a rescue foster or adopter soon she will receive the ultimate deadline to be out of the shelter or euthanized.”

Please share Shady’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Her deadline is Friday. Sharing saves lives. Doesn’t this poor pup deserve better? We think so.
