President’s Biden’s two dogs are currently staying in Delaware after an incident last week involving the younger German shepherd named Major. Both dogs were removed from the White House after a “biting incident” of a security member.
Major, the three-year-old shepherd, made history as the first rescue dog in the White House. He has reportedly barked and lunged at staff and security. He was adopted by the president and first lady Jill Biden from the Delaware Humane Association in 2018. In November, the president fractured his foot while playing with the dog.
For now, Champ and Major are in the dog house – so to speak. Champ is 13-years-old and is very mellow. The dogs have been allowed to roam the grounds around the complex and have been included in many photos around the White House.
The injury of the staff member is not known. When and if the dogs will return to the White House is not known.
A statement issued on Twitter from the Oval Pawffice Fans, however disputes the allegations:
