Dog’s family named her ‘Princess’ and then dumped her at Florida high kill shelter

Admin

A nine-year-old dog named Princess lies in the corner of her shelter cage at Miami-Dade Animal Services. She was surrendered by her owners who are moving out of the area on April 7, 2021. The shelter is no place Princess; she is confused and often whimpers aloud as if begging for help and a return to the familiar.

PetHarbor Adoption listing:

This precious senior is Princess (#A2042057). She was recently turned in by her owner to the Miami shelter. Princess is nine years old, weighs 63 pounds and her kennel card describes her as a “very sweet girl.”

This geriatric shy pup is in urgent need of rescue. The shelter has reached out to approved animal rescue organizations asking for help for Princess. Please share her plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sadly, she has no one sharing nor pledging to help her. Seniors, and especially the very sweet ones, deserve better.

Princess is quite shy when she is first approached, but once she knows you, she is extremely sweet. She plays well with other dogs. Check out her video here on the playground:
