Update: Depressed shepherd about to be euth’ed went from sad to ecstatic about life

Admin

At the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, a six-year-old German shepherd had been scheduled to be euthanized on Thursday unless someone could save her. Bailie had been found as a stray on May 3, and one month later stopped eating. The 49-pound dog lost eight pounds, yet she had not exhibited any symptoms of any upper respiratory infection.

Animal advocates went to work to save Bailie’s life and social media buzzed with information and requests to save this sweet girl. Rahr To The Rescue came to be Bailie’s lifeline.

“I can’t express the gratitude I have for everyone that has helped save Miss Bailie she went from not eating because she was so incredibly sad to this ❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️ She has a home visit today if that doesn’t work out we still need a foster. Rahr To The Rescue never planned on having dogs in its system. We planned on holding adoption events and giving money back to DFW rescues. We do not have any formal paperwork for fosters so please just text me if you are interested in fostering 214-232-8440. We will get it figured out. I want to say a huge thank you to Ace AzconaKristen Barg MorrisonMichelle Byrod.
