Looking for a loyal, loving companion? Look no further than Dos, a sweet dog who’s been patiently waiting at the Watauga Humane Society in Boone, North Carolina for over 320 days. Shelter life can be stressful for any animal, and Dos is no exception. This article aims to shine a light on Dos’ amazing personality and get him the loving home he deserves. By sharing this story, we can use the power of social media to help Dos go viral and find his perfect match!

Almost a year ago, Dos was found tied to a tree with a note saying that his owner could no longer care for him, that he was a great dog but could be territorial. With no further explanation, Animal Control officers brought him to us and thus began his yearlong journey at the Watauga Humane Society

Dos: More Than Just a Shelter Dog

Dos is a one-year-old pup with a heart of gold. While details about his past are unknown, his time at the shelter hasn’t dampened his spirit. Here’s what makes Dos so special:

  • Affectionate: Dos loves belly rubs and cuddles. He’ll shower you with happy tail wags and playful nudges.
  • Energetic: Dos enjoys walks and playtime. He’d be a great companion for someone with an active lifestyle.

if there were to be a Doggy Olympics, he would undoubtedly take home the gold in the high jump category. if you saw him play with a rope toy, you would soon realized that he’s got the moves like Jagger. No one can wiggle that butt quite like he can!

  • Smart: Shelter staff say Dos is eager to please and learns quickly. He’d thrive on positive reinforcement training.
  • Adaptable: Despite his long stay, Dos is friendly with other dogs (meet and greet recommended) and enjoys human interaction.
