In a code red announcement needing emergency help, a local Kentucky shelter reached out to The Arrow Fund about a family of seven emaciated puppies with the body scale of “1” left at the shelter in a carrier. Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the puppies were being transported to an emergency veterinarian hospital for life-saving care.
The Arrow Fund provides emergency and specialty veterinary treatment to the animal victims of torture or extreme forms of abuse and neglect in the region. By highlighting these cases, the organization works to educate the public regarding animal cruelty and the need to strengthen Kentucky’s animal welfare laws.
The puppies rescued today will need foster homes and approved rescue people are being asked to assist. Please email [email protected].
If you would like to become an approved foster, applications are available at www.thearrowfund.org.
