In Houston, Texas, a stray dog desperately tried to capture the attention of diners in a restaurant last week begging for help. The severe thunderstorms caused local flooding, severe lightning and an all about scary environment for a dog with no home and at the time – maybe no hope?
Volunteers from the area arrived and were able to get her to temporary safety. It is likely she had been used for breeding and then dumped. The poor dog had no idea where she was or even what was happening, but rescuers stepped up to offer temporary care, asking rescue organizations or approved foster homes to step forward and help.
Later that day, arrangements had been made for Moon to go to a temporary boarding facility – hoping she could decompress, feel safe and help pave the way for her to be fostered or adopted. Although her rescuers have stated Moon is “the sweetest dog,” she apparently panicked in the kennel after arriving at the facility and was “hysterical.” She just needs to be with people in a home.
Moon’s rescue advocate has been sharing the dog’s plight on social media asking for help. Funding has been raised to pay a foster with Rover to keep Moon for a week at her home.
