A beautiful three-year-old shepherd with piercing blue eyes needs a home. Transferred from the Palmdale shelter on September 1, 2021, Alize is 45 pounds of sweetness and beauty. Alize is available for adoption at the Carson Shelter.
Here is her story:
“When she first entered the play yard she was stiff and tense, after hanging out a bit she had some play time with a male pit bull.”

Volunteers escorted Alize out into the yard where the other dogs waited to greet her. When they approached her and began to sniff her as she walked, she became tense with a low tail and concerned eyes. She gave a few quick barks to the other dogs as a warning when they approached her, and the other dogs acknowledged her demand.
“She approached the handlers for affection and began hiding behind their legs, using them as a barrier. She began to relax in the yard and began approaching others. She exchanged good greetings with all of them and began roaming the yard with them.”

A male pit bull approached Alize and the two played. They chased each other around the yard, and Alize enjoyed the encounter.
“Alize did not become aroused during play and remained soft and social.”
