Oh Chunk, what happened to you and how did you end up in a shelter in Dallas scheduled to be euthanized because no one has come to your aid?
Shelter and rescue volunteer Murphy Rescued, is asking everyone to just take a look at three-year-old Chunk and share his heartbreaking story. No one really knows how he ended up at the Dallas shelter, but when spotted by animal rescue officers, he had been homeless and in order to help him, they had to set a humane trap.
did something happen to his human he got left behind? He would give anything to be invisible and find a spot to hide.

Chunk needs someone with a huge heart and patience to help. Surely there is someone out there who will see his photos and want to show him there are still good people out here to make his life beautiful.
So what kind of home would Chunk do best? He needs a home with a backyard where he can explore and feel the soft cool grass under his paws again. He won’t thrive as an apartment pup nor does he like the fast pace of lots of people and noise.
Today, Sunday is Chunk’s last day at Dallas Animal Services because life in a shelter has been an emotional trauma for this gentle soul. Emotional wellbeing for a dog is very important.
Please share Chunk’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. To save this dog’s life, please email [email protected] or call 972.584.7132.

The one who greets you happily at the door each day after work, who gives the best snuggles and gets you off the couch and out in the fresh air for walks? That might be me! Just maybe I’m the perfect dog for you. I hope you’ll give me a chance to prove it! The shelter staff and volunteers are still learning more about me, so stay tuned!
