In the Dallas area, a heartless owner abandoned their dog behind a dumpster at a local Dollar Store. When Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform arrived, the animal control officer at the scene had been surprised to have found the chained dog with his food and water alongside of him. What really stood out, however was the bowtie rhinestone collar the dog had been wearing.
“…Someone took the time to put an adorable black collar on him why would they just dump him, why not take to a shelter what must go through this desperate family’s mind. They had to think about this it was not a spontaneous dump and go. They took time to chain him to the pallet place and fill the food and water. Then they just turned around and walked away – never to look back.”

Sadly there are few consequences for these actions – little enforcement when it comes to the safety and welfare of dogs. What must Texas be thinking?
