Frightened Corgi taped in box and abandoned in porta-potty rescued from Brookline construction site

Admin

In Brookline, Massachusetts, investigators at the MSPCA-Angell rescued a Corgi-mix on Friday night taped in a box which had been placed inside of a porta potty at a construction site located at 19 Colchester Street.

According to the animal welfare organization, when officers arrived at the scene, the dog had managed to free her two front legs from the box. Rescuers transported her to Angell Animal Medical Center where she was examined by a veterinarian and found to be unharmed and stable. Although the dog is quite frightened, she is calming down and resting at the MSPCA’s Jamaica Plain adoption center where the five-year-old pup will be held for seven days and then made available for adoption if her owner does not come forward.

The box in which the dog was trapped was for an O-Cedar EasyWring mop and bucket. The dog was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

Anyone who recognizes the dog is asked to contact the Brookline Police Department’s tip line at 617.730.2730 or the MSPCA’s Law Enforcement Department at 800.522.6008.
