Rescue organizations coming to the aid of tornado rescues in devastated Mayfield and other devastated communities in Kentucky

Admin

The Brandywine Valley SPCA hit the road with their rescue bus within 24 hours after learning of the devastation in Kentucky communities such as Mayfield and other surrounding areas. On Tuesday morning, volunteers and staff picked up 75 dogs and cats from the Kentucky Humane Society. These pets are pre-storm adoptable dogs and cats and will free up space for lost and injured pets left homeless after the tornadoes.

The 40 dogs and 35 cats arrived at the Animal Rescue Center in Georgetown, and on Wednesday the adoptions will begin.

We’re doing this work on top of our regular daily work to help lost and stray animals, cruelty victims, and pets needing rehoming. We need your support to help the homeless pets and people of Kentucky at this critical time. Make a donation to support this disaster relief work and consider welcoming one of these rescues into your home if you’ve been thinking about adopting.
