A sweet, six-year-old German shepherd is quickly running out of time at an overcrowded animal control facility in California. The “wiggle-butt,” named Peter, has been in the Los Angeles County animal care system since May, and everyone thus far has passed him by.
On December 20, a social networking advocate shared the shelter’s plea to save Peter’s life:
72 HOUR RESCUE PLEA
Explaining how poor Peter has been bypassed by potential adopters:
He entered the system in May at Baldwin Park.
He transferred to us in September. Downey #DowneyDogs
During that time, he had a cherry eyed removed, so he had to wear a cone and he had his hair shaved around his eye, so they took awhile to grow back. And Sadly, cones and hair missing, makes adopters pass them up at the shelter.
Now that his hair finally came in, he is 72 hour dog. The shelter is crowded and between shelters, they tried to extend his time.
But now his time is dwindling.
The shelter added:
He’s been a doll to all of us, bringing smiles, kisses and love. We enjoy and love Peter at Both shelters.
Peter doesn’t deserve to die – he did nothing to warrant the fate that he is facing. Will you please help save his life by sharing his adoption information?
