In rural Tennessee, Guardians of Rescue were contacted about a dog who had spent the last four years tethered on a chain with an upside down shopping cart as his only shelter. Left at the edge of the woods where few people ever walked by, the dog had little access to food or water. His suffering had been purely heartbreaking.
On Thursday afternoon, volunteers from the rescue organization arrived and freed him. The dog was rushed to a partner veterinarian hospital where he will be treated for his injuries, heart worms, vaccinations and neutered when healthy enough.
At this time a rescue partner is needed that can help place this dog once he is released from the veterinary hospital.
