Meet baby Tyson; the tiny puppy is only six-weeks-old, and he was found trying to nurse from his deceased mom in a rural area of Houston where stray and the unwanted pets of neighboring areas are abandoned and forced to scavenge for bits of food just to survive. And that is where Tyson was born.
Fortunately, a Good Samaritan found the three puppies that had been left helpless and orphaned. Tragically, two of the puppies passed away, and ThisIsHouston was asked to help the remaining puppy. Tyson only weighs 3.5 pounds and was rushed to Blue Pearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital where he was diagnosed with Parvovirus.
The good news is that the virus was caught earlier enough that Tyson’s prognosis looks promising.
We will update as soon as more information is made available, but for now, Tyson could use donations for his expensive veterinarian treatment and hospitalization.
